Rough Cut Pine Tar Soap – Cold Process, Grit-Heavy, Field-Tested
This is old-school soap, done right. A rugged cold process bar forged with pine tar and grounded in tradition, packed with grit from exfoliating ground oatmeal, silica sand, and activated charcoal. Scented with a bold pine and crisp orange fragrance, it evokes a deep-woods freshness that lingers without overpowering. No frills—just pure, hardworking ingredients.
Each 4.8oz bar is hand-poured and cured with the time-honored cold process method. That means a longer-lasting soap, better lather, and a bar that retains all the natural glycerin most commercial soaps lose—great for skin that endures long days and harsh elements.
You’ll notice it looks a bit like a popular square bar—but we skip the gimmicks and pass the savings to you. No flashy boxes. No inflated hype. Just solid, functional soap built for those who need results over marketing.
Ingredients (Common Name/INCI):
Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera Oil), Canola Oil (Canola Oil), Soybean Oil (Glycine Soja Oil), Olive Pomace Oil (Olea Europaea Oil), Organic Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter), Sunflower Oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil), Water (Aqua), Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Pine Tar (Pinus Palustris Tar), Ground Oatmeal (Avena Sativa Kernel Meal), Silica Sand (Silica), Activated Charcoal (Charcoal Powder), Fragrance (Fragrance). May contain FD&C color.
Note: Due to the handmade nature of each bar, textures and tones may vary. Every cut is unique, just like the hands that use it.

Awesome charcoal and oat mixture! Smells fantastic. Not a hard bar of soap like some of those other natural brands. Also not $69 dollars. Will continue to use these guys and 3xcited to see what else they got coming.
Bought a bar near the end of my Squatch’s life. Holds up very well, forms a good lather, practically the same smell, etc. for a better price. (The Squatch started at more similar color, it’s just older). Not sure about the amount of oatmeal exfolient so far, since the Castle bar is so new, but I use a loofah so it’s not really important to me. Same benefits at a much better price.
